SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (January 17, 2017) – Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance is proud to sponsor retired US Navy Capt. Mark Kelly as the keynote speaker at the American Case Management Association (ACMA) 2017 National Conference in Washington D.C. April 20-23. Kelly, a former NASA space shuttle commander, will speak on Friday morning, April 21 at the Gaylord National Resort. Kelly’s inspiring message will include highlights from his career including the 54 days he spent in space during four space shuttle missions. He will discuss achieving success and building strong teams in challenging environments. Kelly will also share his family’s personal tragedy and resilience after the 2011 assassination attempt on his wife, former US Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. The couple wrote about their harrowing experience, Giffords’ on-going recovery, and their optimism for the future in their book “Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope.”
An innovative leader, Kelly joined Angel MedFlight’s Board of Directors in the fall of 2015 as an aviation expert. Kelly is involved with Angel MedFlight’s efforts to educate healthcare professionals on air medical transport services.
“I’m excited about Angel MedFlight’s mission,” Mark Kelly said. “Angel MedFlight’s partnerships with Centers of Excellence has helped lead the charge of patient-centric care. I look forward to speaking to the dedicated group of healthcare professionals in D.C. Now, more than ever, we have an opportunity to put the focus of healthcare back on the patient. Angel MedFlight is proud to be a leader in this important cause.”
Angel MedFlight has a strong relationship with case management professionals across the country and has partnered with ACMA as a corporate sponsor since 2011.

It is an honor for Angel MedFlight to support the continued education of these dedicated healthcare professionals. Capt. Mark Kelly is a dynamic speaker who offers a unique perspective on teamwork and the healthcare system. We believe conference attendees will be able to apply Capt. About Capt. Mark Kelly
Mark Kelly is an American astronaut, retired United States Navy Captain, New York Times best-selling author, and experienced aviator with more than 6,000 flight hours in over 50 different aircraft. He flew combat missions in the first Gulf War and has made four trips into space; his final mission as the last commander of space shuttle Endeavour. Mark understands all too well the needs of families facing the challenge of having to move a sick or injured family member across the country.
