Arizona Secretary of State, Michele Reagan and Scottsdale Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane were the latest elected officials to visit Angel MedFlight’s local headquarters in April. Angel MedFlight has received a flurry of media attention and visits from local leaders honoring our nomination as a Semifinalist for the Secretary of Defense Freedom Award earlier this spring.

The Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to businesses for their support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve. 2,330 nominations were submitted by the Guardsmen and Reservists, and Semifinalists included just 149 businesses of all sizes from across the nation.
Employees serving in the National Guard or Reserve, and their family members, can nominate their employers for supporting military service. Flight Nurse and Staff Sergeant John Moyer, and Clinical Director and Chief Nursing Officer, CDR Bambi Pish-Derr, nominated Angel MedFlight. They were proud to meet with Secretary Reagan and Mayor Lane in-person to celebrate this achievement.
