This Wednesday, Congressman Paul Gosar and his team visited Angel MedFlight’s Scottsdale headquarters. The meeting came on the heels of our nomination as a Semifinalist for the Secretary of Defense Freedom Award earlier this month.
Congressman Gosar was visiting the offices to acknowledge the award as an achievement for Angel MedFlight and Arizona where our company is headquartered. Congressman Paul Gosar represents Arizona's 4th congressional district, including most of the rural western portion of the state, in addition to a few suburbs of Phoenix.
The Congressman toured our headquarters to meet with all of our team members who make everything we do for our patients and partnering healthcare providers possible.

The Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to businesses for their support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve. 2,330 nominations were submitted by the Guardsmen and Reservists, and Semifinalists include just 149 businesses of all sizes from across the nation. Only 250 employers have received the award to date.

Employees serving in the National Guard or Reserve, and their family members, can nominate their employers for supporting military service. Angel MedFlight Flight Nurse and Staff Sergeant John Moyer, a medic with the 94th Air Medical Staging Transport Squadron USAF and our Director of Clinical and Chief Nursing Officer, CDR Bambi Pish-Derr, a nurse with EMF Dallas One USN nominated the company separately. She was proud to meet with the Congressman in person this week.
